Great Britain, France, Sweden and Denmark all confirmed their places in the 2017 European Championships semi finals after the final round of group games on Day Three, writes Nathaniel Holland. Both GB and Sweden are undefeated so far in Koblenz and they will face France, and Denmark in the semi finals (3pm and 5pm CEST).
Ireland started their European A Championships Campaign against a strong Danish Team today. Ireland won the tip, with Denmark quickly capitalising on a lost ball to take the first goal. It went tit-for-tat for most the of the first quarter with Denmark finally pulling away towards the latter half leading with 10 - 15 Score Line.
Europe’s top wheelchair rugby teams will meet in Koblenz, Germany this month at the IWRF 2017 European Division A Championships. Eight teams will meet over five days of competition in hopes of being crowned European champion, and earning one of four European spots at next year’s IWRF World Championship in Sydney, Australia.
Irish Wheelchair Rugby today officially announced the Irish team for the 2017 IWRF European A Wheelchair Rugby Championships. Seven players will make up the team, which will represent Ireland at the forthcoming Championships, to be held in Koblenz, Germany from 24th June - 2nd July 2017.
