This is the first time that all 12 nations competing at the World Championship will have qualified directly through competition. For some, this will be the first time they have participated in an event outside of their zone for world ranking.
Ju Ha Lee, Head Coach of Korea Wheelchair Rugby Association noted that they have had less opportunity to compete with other countries because they have been focused on the Asia’s Oceania Zone. "I think it is a great honor to be able to compete with the best teams in Europe and American zone, including Poland, Germany and Brazil". "Our Team is very eager to get good result at this event in Switzerland, and we look forward to going to Switzerland too".
Games will commence early evening on April 4th following an Opening Ceremony. Game 1 starting at 17:30 will see the host nation, Switzerland take on Colombia, followed by Germany v. Poland at 19:30.The remaining pool play games continue on the 5th and 6th April, with placement games being played on the 7thand 8th April.
